winter inspiration | edmonton wedding photographer

It was truly a blessing having had the chance to work with Stacey from JoyFoley Weddings. The first time we sat down and chatted over coffee this shoot materialized. There was an undying need to show how winter weddings can be planned without the classic winter colours. I think brides need to remember that winter is a gorgeous (yes, cold) season, but they should never feel restricted on colours, florals or even their gown. Winter can be over the top romantic and dramatic – so work it! The group of people that came together to make this shoot possible is bursting with talent, so a heart felt thank you to everyone who donated time to this shoot.

I was ecstatic to see our shoot featured on Ruffled Blog : – although the crowning moment was when Inspired Magazine out of Northern Ireland contacted me hoping to feature the details. And honestly; I jumped for joy. Numerous times. As time progressed it went from just a simple feature, to a spread and then the ultimate moment of my year; the *front cover*.

I died a little inside. It was my goal of 2013 to be internationally featured; and it came true. I can die a happy photographer now. I’ll be sharing the magazine images soon!

So for now, here is a winter shoot, meant to be unlike all the others. Edmonton brides; heck all of Canada Brides; don’t feel restricted by the season, anything and everything goes!
