I love my outdoorsy-farming-small town Alberta couples. I am a small town girl myself, and I always seem to connect easily with them. This couple was no different. Easy going, relaxed, fun, and hilarious is how I would sum up Colin and Tess’s bridal party and day. Everyone was there to celebrate this couple and cheers to their happiness.
Married on a gorgeous estate outside of Edmonton, Country Wildflowers Bed and Breakfast was the most beautiful location for an outdoor wedding. Tess, a lover of florals, had incredible arrangements and bouquets made by Flowers by Willows everywhere. They.Were.Breathtaking.
The day was a combination of rustic, romantic and chic. Not a single detail was forgotten.
Thank you Tess and Colin for having me be apart of your day!
I met up with Alyssa and Taylor in the early spring for their engagement session. We managed to get some beautiful light to end their session. I am so excited for their wedding!
I got to be apart of this couple’s wedding and I felt giddy when I found out I was going to be photographing their baby bump. Baby Nora has been welcomed to the world already, but here was a gorgeous maternity session with Mom and Dad. Chelsea and Brendan thank you for involving me in such big moments. Congratulations on your beautiful little girl!
I met Elyse and Phil and I knew their wedding was going to be memorable. I should add to that; not just the couple themselves but their bridal party, their family and guests all made the experience unforgettable. They welcome Sofia and I with open arms and made us feel like guests who just had fancy cameras. It was a wonderful feeling.
The wedding was held at the Iberostar in the Mayan Riveria in Mexico. We had a stunning day; a nice breeze to keep everyone cool and on elf the most fantastic sunsets – probably the best of the entire week. The reception area was incredible and I have to say that this resort was one of my favourites to photograph a wedding. I loved Elyse’s gown and how her girls’ were dressed. The men had so much personality and style – it was incredibly fantastic. It’s always an honour being asked to travel such a huge distance to capture such an important day; but it just adds to the experience when you’re able to laugh and enjoy your time with so many new people.
Thank you again for everything Elyse and Phil – I can’t say thank you enough…your wedding left me with so much inspiration and images that will go down as some of my favourites. Also a big thank you to Sofia Katherine from Sofia Katherine Photography in Calgary for making the trip down with me!
Stephanie and Tyler were married on a gorgeous January day. We woke up to the coolest fog and frosty trees. It made for such an incredible ambiance all through Edmonton. If you’re going to get married in the winter this was considered a jack-pot. I have had gorgeous falling snow for wedding days; but this was something different and rare. It doesn’t happen too often. Usually when it DOES happen, you’re doing the “ah man I wish I was shooting today”.
The wedding was held at the Fantasy Land Hotel which was a first for me. I was not disappointed at all. The staff and service was fantastic. Stephanie and Tyler decided to have a first look which is so important I find for winter weddings especially with the short amount of sunlight we have.
The first look was so special because they involved their sweet little girl. I loved the anticipation as it built up, and getting to see Tyler’s reaction when he saw his girls. The formal photos followed in the Edmonton river valley. This bridal party was hilarious. I had such a good time and we even had a small acrobatic moment and a pair of pants was blown open by a groomsman. I photographed it. I of course had to share it with you all. Do enjoy those.
The formals were a mixture of bright filtered sun; and then as the sun began to sink to dusk we were given this moody atmosphere. I loved the combination of classic, sweet and playful given by Stephanie and Tyler. Between Stephanie’s gorgeous choice in dress (for her bridesmaids as well), her jewellery and just the connection between these two, it made my job incredibly easy.
The ceremony and reception were small, intimate and filled with close friends and family. It was the perfect way to end the day.
Thank you again for having me!
